This summer, save the date for July 18-21 (that’s a Sunday through Wednesday) for an FMC Connections multi-age Appalachia mission trip to Kentucky. It will be open to adults, teens, and family groups, in coordination with CrossRoads Missions in Floyd County. Projects will include home repairs and community events. Cost, registration, and other info available at the link below. If you have any questions, please contact our Connections Pastor, Michael Baer (email@example.com). Please register by June 20 or talk to Michael Baer if you are thinking about going!
First Missionary Church was founded in the late 1800's with a priority on world missions. From its earliest days, missionaries were selected, supported financially and spiritually, and sent out into the world. This continues today with about 25% of the annual budget being designated to missionary support and missions projects.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
We reach out to people in close proximity to us in distance, language, and culture.
We reach out to people who are close in distance but different in language and culture.
We reach out to people who are further away in distance and culture but similar in language.
We reach out to people furthest away in distance and different in both culture and language.
We are supporting missionaries and projects that involve all four areas. This includes missionaries in local youth organizations, people teaching English in other countries, and medical workers around the world.
