Creative Arts @ FMC

Our desire in the Creative Arts Ministry is to encourage and disciple a community of talented artistic collaborators for the glory of God Almighty to be used not only here at First Missionary, but also in the community.

As a Creative Arts team, we value:

Volunteer Schedules


Mike could use a few more people on the Tech Team who would help with getting the livestream up and running on Sundays and make sure all of the proper settings are ready to go. Whether you play an instrument, sing, act, are an artist, enjoy the technical aspect of worship or like to talk to people, the Creative Arts team has a way for you to be involved!


HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

Praise Band and Vocal Teams - contact Mike by email to set up a short audition.


Praise Choir and Bell Choir - contact Mike by email, but there is no audition.


Tech Team - contact Mike by email to set up a time to come get training in the area in which you are interested.

AREAS TO SERVE:

Praise Band - Meets from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, the week of the Sunday you are scheduled. Instrumentalists* (Bass, Keyboard, Drum Set, Auxiliary Percussion, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar) and Vocal Team (Soprano, Alto, Tenor)
*Instrumentalists need to have the ability to read chord charts in a variety of keys and be able to pick up songs quickly


Bell Choir - Practices weekly from 6:00-6:50 p.m. on Wednesday nights. Performs in our services, special afternoons of worship and in the community.


Tech Team - Depending on the position, involvement can be as much as twice a month or as little as once a month. (Sound, Lighting, Video Editing, Manned Camera, Remote Camera, Video Switching)
